Membership in the League
Requirements
Regular membership
in the Marine Corps League is open to:
- Active Duty Marines
- Honorably Discharged Marines who have served for more than
90 days
- Retired Marines
- Navy corpmen who served in the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) for
more than 90 days
A
copy of a DD214 (discharge paper) is required as proof of honorable
discharge for Marines no longer on active duty.
Individuals not eligible for regular membership may be allowed to join as associate members.
Cost
As of May 1, 2014, the annual cost to join is $30.
Lifetime
memberships are also available at the following prices:
Ages 0-35: $500
Ages 36-50: $400
Ages 51-64: $300
Ages 65+: $200
Membership includes a subscription to the Marine Corps League Magazine.

Oath
As of January 25, 2020, the Oath of Membership, sent by Craig Reeling, Adjutant of Department of Maryland Marine Corps League reads:
I, (Your Name), In the Presence of Almighty God, do solemnly swear, that I will uphold and defend the Constitution and Laws of the United States of America and the Bylaws and Administrative Procedures of the Marine Corps League. That I take this obligation willingly and in good faith and that I will follow the directions and guidance of elected and appointed officers of the League. That I will participate and support the missions and activities of the Marine Corps League, and that I promise to govern my conduct in such a manner that I will never bring discredit upon myself, Members of the League, or the Marine Corps League, so help me God.
