Also, Commandant has giving out certificate of appreciation to Past Commandant present, Kevin Oliver Mike Betts and Bill Brooks. Certificate of appreciation for members that were Marine of the year in past. Members present were Mike Betts, Dennis Graham and Daniel Rotondo. Commandant spoke about the scholarship committee. Motion to fund the scholarship committee based on the funds available so as not to exceed what is available in the scholarship fund at the time the committee is prepared to offer a scholarship. Good of the league: Report given by Mike Betts from the quarterly meeting; Mike informed us that once we were the best detachment in our region others are now kicking our butts. National has decided that any past member who is not current will not have to pay past dues. They will have to only pay the current years dues. How many people will be going to national in Charleston W. Va.? The formal dinner will be $25.00 per person. March 1st 2014 it will be the responsibility of the Senior Vice to take charge of raffle tickets. Commandant will get some pricing for a new Marine Corps Flag, post and base 50.00 donations given to Dennis from Mike Betts received from out of state, Conversation regarding Christmas party, commandant will check on Dates. Good of the league: Kevin Oliver will be at the Ellicott Mills brewery for dinner and holiday cheer. 7pm Paymaster brought up regarding a donation from rotary club Commandant will check up on this. Paymaster also mention money that has been collected for wounded Marines, Commandant will present the Check at the Department quarterly meeting in Elkton.
